Should I Submit My Articles to One Article Directory or Multiple Article Directories?

Understanding your article marketing objectives is crucial to answering this question. There are three primary objectives when implementing article marketing. Each objective has a different strategy and answer to this question.

  1. Rank Higher In Search Engine Results for Your Targeted Keywords
  2. Build Your Brand, Expertise, and Authority
  3. Drive Traffic to an Offer or Site Directly From Articles

Rank Higher In Search Engine Results for Your Targeted Keywords

If your objective is to increase the search engine rank of your sites then article marketing can help increase the number of back links to your site. The more sites that your article appears on the more back links you will receive to your site. Back links increases your link popularity, search engine position, and subsequent search engine traffic for your targeted keywords.

Your strategy should be to submit your article to as many article directories and sites as possible. More sites equal more back links. There are hundreds of article directories you could submit your article to. I would suggest that you use an article submission service to save time.

Build Your Brand, Expertise, and Authority

Article marketing is also great for building your brand within an industry. It helps build credibility and establishes you as an expert in your field. Your objective is to showcase your knowledge and expertise by providing relevant and valuable information.

Your strategy should be to submit your article to the most visited and popular article directories. Some people only submit to one article directory but don’t put all of your eggs in one basket. Diversify to leverage the marketing power of multiple article directories.

Drive Traffic to an Offer or Site Directly From Articles

The third way to use article marketing is to drive traffic directly from your articles to an offer or site. This requires a well written article that motivates readers to click the link in your article. This direct linking method is popular in the affiliate marketing industry.

To help drive traffic to your offer, you should submit it to the top (high PageRank) articles directories. These sites will help your articles rank high in search engine results. Higher search engine rankings equal more traffic.

All three of these objectives can be used in any combination. For example:

  1. Brand yourself while driving traffic to your site
  2. Drive traffic to your mailing list sign-up form while
driving traffic to your affiliate offers
  3. Brand yourself while driving traffic to your products
    & services

Understanding your article marketing objectives will help you to determine which strategy you will employ. A successful article marketing campaign starts with clear objectives and an
effective plan.

Isnt this bad for seo?

Duplicate content isn't an issue for article marketing. There's a lot of fear and misinformation concerning duplicate content.
